OUR STORY

The past guided us to today which informs our future

Success Coaching & Development was founded mid 2008 by Alison Griffiths and Kenneth Dixon.

Alison’s second successful coaching venture, after establishing and growing Unicus C&D early 2003.

Born from a decade of self-coaching, great mentors and two career pivots

which guided Alison to define and achieve her own career fulfillment

- supporting and enabling others to do the same.

Roots:

Filling an R&D gap – offering career coaching and personal professional development to

enhance the essential technical skills required in highly regulated, scientific organisations

inspired other sectors to get involved through employment advisory resources.

Initially pioneering and educating companies and professional bodies on what coaching is

and what it can deliver for them, led to consistent repeat and referral business based on

excellent results balanced with exceptional customer service

delivering face-to-face and telephone coaching.

Growth:

With a sound reputation in developing leaders our business evolved

into new areas - designing and delivering bespoke team development events,

resilience, change and emotional intelligence workshops.

Online coaching was introduced.

With clear values, we followed three core principles:

Listening to the needs and wants of sponsors and clients.

Providing honest feedback to enable individual and team growth.

Believing in the potential each and every client brings.

Legacy:

In 2016 we launched our own authentic leadership coaching framework and resource 'walnut™ leading wisely' bringing the story full circle by enabling others to self-coach.

Coaching is now integrated into most corporate L&D portfolios and we are honoured to have played our part.

Today:

We specialise in one-to-one leadership and career coaching, and coaching supervision.

Authentic leadership remains the message at the heart of our services, resources and activities.

We actively support the coaching community as a founder member of the Association for Coaching

through forums, groups and social media.

Our standard of excellence was most recently evidenced as a registered Project5 volunteer

supporting the NHS in response to COVID-19.

Future:

We will continue our commitment to grow through CPD and evolve as organisations continue

to reinvent themselves with new ways of working.
